January 5th, Consumer Electronics Show 2017, Las Vegas – The new generation of vinyl record and audio enthusiasts can now make the step up to superior sound with Audio-Technica’s new AT-LP3 turntable. The perfect upgrade from an entry-level turntable, this advanced fully-automatic belt-driven model combines an enhanced audio performance with ease-of-use, boasting a sleek, sophisticated and interior-friendly design based on the award-winning, AT-LP5.

Featuring characteristics seen in more advanced turntables, the AT-LP3 is designed to deliver a high quality sound, whether spinning records at 33 1/3 or 45 RPM. A damped-based construction reduces low-frequency bass feedback that can taint the sound while its die cast aluminium platter and 4.5mm thick rubber mat offer further anti-vibration characteristics for a stable and reliable playback.

With most entry-level turntables offering only horizontal tonearm control, the AT-LP3’s balanced straight tonearm provides increased flexibility with a hydraulically damped lift control and radial ball bearing for horizontal movement, and pivot bearings for vertical movement.

The AT-LP3 arrives fitted with the exclusive AT91R Dual Moving Magnet™ phono cartridge and AT-HS3 universal headshell with the latter allowing users to easily upgrade cartridge types and experiment with the different sound characteristics and sonic subtleties they can bring. The AT-HS3’s angled-shape suits the AT-LP3’s straight tonearm with a built-in finger lift allowing precise stylus placement.

Using a lightweight aluminium alloy tube cantilever, the AT91R Dual Moving Magnet™ phono cartridge is able to pick up the subtlest of details while its high rigidity minimises unwanted vibration that can effect performance. The AT-LP3 also incorporates a switchable MM/MC cartridge selector mode. A feature not often found in turntables with a built-in phono pre-amplifier, it allows the listener to switch between Moving-Magnet and Moving-Coil cartridge types, for experiencing further enhancements in audio reproduction.

The AT-LP3 is also easy to connect to audio systems via the supplied RCA output cable and with a onboard switchable phono/line pre-amplifier users can directly hook up active powered speakers or connect to a dedicated phono-enabled amp.

A supplied removable hinged dust cover offers further protection for your vinyl records during playback while a 45 RPM adapter is also bundled. The AT-HS3 universal headshell also includes lead wires and mounting screws.
